Sam A Lupo and Sons, Inc (Lupo’s) Completed SQF Audit
Sam A Lupo and Sons, Inc (Lupo’s) recently completed our unannounced SQF Audit. Under the leadership of Eliott Lupo and plant manager Anthony Lamoree, along with help from all of our employees, we received our best score ever. With the high score achieved, we were given a rating of “Excellent” from the Safe Quality Food Program auditor. The unannounced audit was conducted at the Lupo’s USDA meat plant on Dickson St, Endicott NY. While the actual audit lasted 2.5 days, the program requires daily participation of all employees.
What is the SQF Program? The Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program is a rigorous and credible food safety and quality program that is recognized by retailers, brand owners and food service providers world-wide. Recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), the SQF family of food safety and quality codes are designed to meet industry, customer and regulatory requirements for all sectors of the food supply chain- from the farm all the way up to the retail store. Lupo’s is under daily USDA Inspection and is HACCP Certified.
