The Legislative Committee is open to all members of the Greater Binghamton Chamber. The purpose is to provide a forum to discuss timely issues that affect our business community on a local, state and federal level. The group helps craft the Annual Legislative Agenda and makes recommendations to the Government Affairs Committee on official policy positions.

The Chamber’s GAC is board-appointed and comprises Chamber members from diverse industries. They ensure the Chamber is the leading advocacy voice for the business community, review recommendations by the Legislative Committee and schedule exclusive monthly speakers on timely topics.

Ambassadors are an exclusive group of business professionals who serve as advocates for the Chamber and the business community. Ambassadors are highly visible, prestigious volunteers who attend Chamber events, ribbon cuttings and focus on outreach to existing members.

DEI Committee-The DEI Committee’s purpose is to steer Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programming for the Greater Binghamton business community. Our goals for business are to attract and retain diverse workforces and increase inclusive cultures within their organizations with particular focus on policies, practices and procedures. We will do this by providing learning opportunities and education resources to enhance or implement new DEI strategies.

This committee is geared toward helping Minority, Women and/or Veteran owned businesses to change the trend with the goals of providing business consultation, financial literacy and support, as well as advocacy and opportunities for networking.

Review applications and select winners for the Chamber’s Annual Spring and Fall Awards, including Civic Leader, Small Business Person, Entrepreneur, Volunteer, Community Advocate, Corporate Citizen, Non-Profit Executive and Non-Profit Organization of the Year.

This committee of young professionals assists in planning new and exciting events that will bring together YPs and individuals seeking leadership roles within their organization in fun and meaningful ways.

Work with other young professionals to review and select winners for our Annual HYPE Awards- Honoring Young Professional Excellence.
