A Conversation with…
Nate Rose, William Brennan, and Tom Disch co-owners of Parlor City Furniture
What are your primary products and/or services?
Commercial residential furnishing and sell and design new & pre-owned home & offices.
When was your organization established?
In 2019 we started a small business to buy & sell items on Facebook marketplace out of a small garage. Months later, during the peak of the pandemic, we expanded the business and launched what is now known as Parlor City Furniture. Parlor City quickly began taking over the commercial furniture business locally, and took over Upstate Office Furniture, which had 30 years’ experience in office furniture in the Broome County footprint and beyond.
What other information would you like people to know, such as recent news coverage, community involvement, your mission or philosophy? In other words, “what we might not know about your organization?”
When thinking about company culture, office furniture may not be the first thing that comes to mind, but it actually plays a substantial role. The furniture in your office impacts the day-to-day productivity and morale of your staff. Having furniture that works for you and not against you can completely revitalize your office culture and success. Choosing the right pieces of furniture shows both your staff and your clientele that you care!
What has membership of the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce provided for your organization?
Membership with the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce has provided us with many networking opportunities including their monthly luncheons.
