Annual Events

Economic Forecast and Building BC Awards (FEB)

The Economic Forecast provides up-to-date and essential information of industry trends from one of the area’s leading financial institutions to give our businesses throughout the region a better understanding on what the future economic climate will look like. Building BC awards recognize the innovation and growth of our community.

Greater Binghamton Bridge Run Half Marathon and 5K (MAY)

The Greater Binghamton Bridge Run is a premier running event in the Greater Binghamton area. The Bridge Run includes USATF-certified half marathon and 5K races and is a great way to get out and enjoy local food and drink with the best finish line party around!

Chamber Annual Dinner (MAY)

The Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Dinner is a long-standing tradition that celebrates outstanding leaders in our business community. It gives attendees from the private and public sector a chance to convene for an evening of camaraderie and commemoration!

Chamber Classic Golf Tournament (JUNE)

Take to the greens to relax, connect, and enjoy the beautiful golf courses in the Greater Binghamton area! This is a great opportunity to get out of the office, meet with friends, and network with professionals in our area. With some of the top business leaders around, this is a perfect opportunity to forge new relationships out on the course.

BingBizCon (JUNE)

BingBizCon is an exciting new event in 2019 providing leadership and professional development for management and employees at all levels including breakout sessions and networking opportunities. A showcase of local and regional businesses and organizations will complete the day.

Southern Tier Young Professional Summit (SEPT)

The Southern Tier Young Professional (YP) Summit is a day that brings the next generation of leaders into the decision making process. We look forward to continue the conversation and collaborate as we keep Broome County a great place to live. This full-day conference focused on individual and professional development, a civic engagement project, and interactive workshops. These initiatives show young professionals that Broome County is a great place to connect and collaborate.

An Evening of Wine Tasting, Craft Brews and Food (OCT)

Enjoy the company of friends and fellow community members as you sample different wines from all over the world, craft brews, and great appetizers and desserts from area restaurants. Live music and raffles take place throughout the evening.

Annual Community Thanksgiving Luncheon (NOV)

The much-anticipated Chamber tradition is held to give thanks for the positive and inspirational events that have occurred in our community throughout the year. We honor those who have given so much to the community and recognize area Service Clubs and Senior Management Executives new to our region.

Greater Binghamton Job and Career Fair (JUNE) and Project Homecoming Job and Career Fair (DEC)

These two annual job and Career Fairs give employers in the region a chance to meet face-to-face with hundreds of job seekers. Our job and career fairs present an opportunity to be involved in a community-wide event that helps to promote the Greater Binghamton area and highlights the immense workforce initiatives from employers and potential employees.

Annual Labor and Employment Law Update (OCT)

Our Annual Labor and Employment Law update is the perfect opportunity to learn about new workplace laws and regulations that are increasingly complex and confusing. Attorneys from Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP provide businesses with information on how to proactively avoid problems, have laws described and broken down into understandable language, and presents the change to ask questions and express concerns.

Pop-Up Webinars on Timely Topics

Through our Pop-Up Webinars, we have the ability to provide our members with regular educational updates on hot topics affecting their business.


Recurring Events

Monthly Connect Over Lunch

The Chamber’s Connect Over Lunch are popular networking events that take place on the second Thursday of each month at various locations throughout the community. The luncheons give about 40+ members an opportunity to network, display literature, and give a brief introduction to the entire group.

Breaking Down the Silos

The Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce partners with other organizations in our community on a free, monthly after-hours networking event. Help us continue to break down the silos & build a community of supportive entrepreneurs by joining us for networking, hors d’oeurves and cocktails! Additional Sponsors include: Binghamton University, The Agency, SUNY Broome, SCORE, Entrepreneur’s Alliance & City of Binghamton. Breaking Down the Silos is held almost monthly from 5:00 – 7:00 pm; locations vary and attract 50-75 attendees.

Eggs and Issues Seminars

Eggs and Issues Seminars are a bi-monthly seminar typically held on the first Friday of each month at 7:30am. Program topics are created by the Chamber’s Small Business Legislative Committee and focus on a wide variety of issues that affect the Greater Binghamton economy.
