Young Professional Summit

The YP Summit is not your average conference! Young Professionals will be surrounded by like-minded millennials discussing how they take their place in the Greater Binghamton business community and make a difference.

The unique aspects included in the YP Summit are critical to the retention of young professionals in the Greater Binghamton region. The structure of the day allows for meaningful conversations and connections made between attendees, as well as building business and leadership skills.

Nationally and regionally known speakers will lead over a dozen interactive break-out sessions throughout the event. The topics will cover a wide spectrum of personal and professional development topics for Young Professionals. Some of these will include:

Isaiah Kacyvenski

Keynote Speaker

Isaiah’s diverse background includes earning two degrees from Harvard, playing in the National Football League for 8 years between, and achieving success as an experienced entrepreneur and investor.

Mr. Kacyvenski is currently a Founder and Managing Partner at Will Ventures, a venture capital investment fund focused on sports technology and the massive, adjacent market opportunities that it opens up (human performance, health and wellness, media and entertainment, eSports, and more). Prior to ATC, Isaiah was the Managing Partner at Blue Star Innovation Partners, an investment capital fund led by serial entrepreneurs and expert operators across a variety of verticals.

Isaiah is also one of the Founders of the Sports Innovation Lab, a leading market research and advisory firm delivering insights on intersection of sports and technology. The Sports Innovation Lab evaluates and identifies the technology products and services that will power the future of sports. The Boston-based, market research and advisory firm uses data analysis to reveal compelling stories that mobilize global partnerships among startups, investment capital firms, and corporate influencers.

Isaiah was formerly the Global Head of Business Development at MC10, a cutting-edge conformal electronics company based in Lexington, MA, where he was involved in the conceptualization, product development, and business development of wearable technology products in Biomedical Research and Consumer applications–including Sports and Fitness.

Isaiah is also an individual investor in, and advisor to, over 25 companies in technology, sports, biotech, consumer, media and sports medicine. Isaiah also has 7 technology patents to his name.

Isaiah is the Chairman of the Sports Advisory Board for the Center for Bio-Integrated Electronics at Northwestern University. Isaiah also serves on the Executive Board of the USC Center for Body Computing as well as the National Advisory Board for the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA). Isaiah is also a member of the NFLPA Health and Safety Committee, where he has served for over 5 years.

Isaiah was also the subject of an NFL Films profile about his rise from poverty to the NFL that received an Emmy Nomination for Outstanding Long Feature.

He was also featured on an Oprah Winfrey show titled “Why They Beat the Odds”.

Isaiah holds a Cum Laude Pre-Medicine Bachelor degree from Harvard University and graduated from Harvard Business School’s MBA program.

Jehmu Greene

Featured Speaker – From Vote Run Lead

Jehmu Greene is an evangelist for social good, an award-winning media and advocacy strategist, proud Texan and recent candidate for Chair of the Democratic National Committee. Heading into her eighth year as a Fox News Political Analyst,Jehmu unapologetically defends progressive values and policies on the network. She co-founded Define American with Jose Antonio Vargas, an initiative that uses media and culture to elevate the immigration reform conversation and is a founding board member of VoteRunLead. She previously served as president of WakaWaka, a global social enterprise working to bring solar power to people living without access to electricity; president of Rock the Vote, where under her leadership membership grew from 1,500 to over 1 million and young voter turnout had the highest increase ever recorded in between two presidential elections; president of the Women’s Media Center where she designed the Name It, Change It campaign to fight sexism against women candidates and trained progressive women to amplify their voices in the media; director of women’s outreach and Southern political director at the Democratic National Committee; National Director of Project Vote and Executive Director of Texas Young Democrats. She has worked on over twenty political campaigns at the local, state and national level and served as an advisor and national surrogate for Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign. Jehmu was appointed by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to the United States National Commission for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Josué Quiñones

Josué Quiñones, also known as JQ, is an international speaker, Career Champion, and Inspirational Young Latino. He is the founder of Just Quality Apparel and the Success Is A Lifestyle Program. Born and raised in the Hunts Point area of the South Bronx, JQ attended college as a way to escape and create a better life. However, while in school, he chose to lead a less promising lifestyle that presented him with a crossroad.

As he frequently shares, his life experience has led him to truly believe, what you actively and consistently engage in, or surround yourself with, is a determining factor of success. With that, he coined the phrase: “Success is not a habit…it’s a Lifestyle!”

A Counselor and Social Worker by training, JQ is an Educator and Life Coach. He has presented to over 20,000 students and professionals and is highly regarded as “deep, impactful, relatable, energetic, and humorous”.

For fun, JQ likes to collect sneakers, do personal impressions, beat-box, and rap. In 2008, he was part of the opening act for Grammy nominated artist, Pitbull.
