The Binghamton Housing Authority broke ground on a $20.5 million mixed-use development on Binghamton’s North Side. Canal Plaza will include 48 one- and two- bedroom apartments and 15,000 sq. ft. of commercial space on the ground floor. The project is to be developed through Community Potential, a not-for-profit wholly owned by the Binghamton Housing Authority, and 3d Development based in Buffalo. Project completion will be mid-2020.
