Residents at Good Shepherd Village Enjoy Weekly Sessions with Binghamton University’s Center for Training and Development Staff
The residents at Good Shepherd Village at Endwell have been enjoying the weekly sessions with the staff at Binghamton University’s Center for Training and Development. Each week, the staff meet one-on-one with residents to provide assistance with new technologies and social media applications. It is mutually beneficial for all involved; the residents learn how to navigate this new world of technology and the staff are able to practice teaching skills that develop them as training professionals.
In collaboration with the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Binghamton University and Upstate Medical University, the residents at Good Shepherd Village at Endwell have the opportunity to meet with a pharmacist to review their medications. This one-on-one review has proven very beneficial for the residents, providing insight into how various medications interact and potential side effects. As a result, the residents have a greater understanding of their overall health.
