Chamber, Senator Akshar, NFIB Discuss 2018 Legislative Issues
At our most recent meeting with Senator Akshar, we were joined by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) to discuss the concerning issues facing the business community here in the Southern Tier and across New York State. Among others, the topics of conversation included Scaffold Law, property tax, Worker’s Compensation, overall tax reform, and MWBE laws.
Our focus as the voice of the business community is to express our stance on important legislation that impacts the success of entrepreneurs, business owners, and employees alike. We understand the difficulties involved and strive to make the most profitable environment possible and meeting with our local and state legislators gives us the ability to be heard.
