Chamber Hosts Eggs and Issues Seminar on Potential Impact of Single Payer in NYS on October 5th
Binghamton – The Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce will host an Eggs and Issues Seminar titled NY State of Health: Potential Impact of Single Payer on Friday, October 5th, from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Binghamton, 225 Water Street, Binghamton NY.
Expert Bill Hammond of the Empire Center will be speaking on the potential impact of single-payer healthcare in New York State and the resulting tradeoffs.
Hammond will discuss how we got to this healthcare situation in NYS, an overview of major NYS healthcare issues, the impact of single-payer, and alternative healthcare solutions.
Chamber President and CEO, Jennifer Conway, remarked, “It’s critical for businesses and citizens to understand the effects this legislation will have on healthcare costs and quality of care. We need a healthcare system that is affordable. If implemented, single-payer will not be affordable to the NYS taxpayer. We are thankful Bill Hammond is able to profile the issues and find solutions that can work for everyone while promoting high quality healthcare.”
