Chamber committees meet on legislative issues
The Chamber’s Government Affairs Committee and Legislative Committee met recently. Our primary focus for both of these meetings was to start the process of creating our legislative survey in order to put together our 2018 Legislative Agenda. We depend on our Chamber membership’s feedback to give our advocacy efforts direction each year.
This direction helps us to go after laws and regulation that hinder business growth in development. Last year we were told by our membership that Workers’ Compensation was the number 1 issue affecting business growth, and with our partners from across the state, we were successful in Workers’ Compensation reform. We want this year to be just as successful! If you have an issue that you would like to have addressed in the legislative agenda, please provide your feedback to the Chamber. In a few weeks we will also be asking all of you to participate in our legislative survey, so please participate!
