United Methodist Homes announces first graduates of Peer Mentoring program

United Methodist Homes announces the first graduates of its new “Growing Strong Roots” peer mentoring program at the Elizabeth Church Campus, which links experienced certified nursing assistants with brand-new CNAs who have just completed their certification program. “The program focuses on continuous improvement in our quality of care, providing support for newly-hired CNAs, and enhancing staff retention rates,” says Denise Johnson, director of staff development for UMH’s two New York campuses. The new CNA mentors are Faith Brown, Tammy Donholt, Nicole Graby, Amy Horton, Serena LaBare and Michelle Roseburgh.
