2017 Legislative Agenda

The Chamber is still actively putting together our 2017 Legislative Agenda. Some of the major issues that we will be focusing on this year, based on the input from our members include: workforce development, lowering property taxes, workers’ compensation reform, and different ways to ensure the future of the Greater Binghamton Airport. The completed Legislative Agenda will be discussed and approved at our upcoming Government Affairs Committee and Board of Directors meetings. We will be presenting this to our membership at the Legislative Agenda Rollout and Unshackle Upstate Reception on January 31st.
More Information

Broome County officially became a member of the Energy Improvement Corporation which offers a commercial finance program for energy improvements called CPACE to our local businesses. The Chamber is actively participating in these conversations and wants to make sure our members are aware of the benefits of the program. If you are interested in hearing how this program might benefit your business, click here to register.

The Chamber will be hosting its next Community Roundtable Discussion on Thursday, January 26th from 9:30am–11:00am for all Chenango, Fenton, and Colesville businesses. This is an opportunity for businesses to sit down with Jennifer Conway, Chamber’s President and CEO, to discuss business-related issues and identify specific issues affecting business growth. If your business is located in any of these areas, please contact Brendan O’Bryan at bobryan@greaterbinghamtonchamber.com for more information.
